3M Cavity Wax Plus (PN 8852) is designed to provide a non-hardening, corrosion protective coating for inner body panels and structural members. Effective on steel and aluminium parts, apply after paint work is complete.

Cavity Wax is:

Low Viscosity
Non-Hardening
Corrosion Resistant Chemistry

Cavity Wax is Applied to:

Internal portion of auto body panels
Both replacement and repaired panels

Cavity Wax is used because:

OEM recognition of use
I-Car recognition and training (US)
Insurance company recognition and
Reimbursement

Based on our research:
Cavity Wax suffers from significant under usage because:

Technicians do not have a convenient product
Equipment does not effectively apply the material
Bulk equipment must be cleaned and filled

3M Cavity Wax Plus Wand Kit (PN 8851) includes three actuators and extension wands, two having 360 degree diffuser nozzles. Always point the extension wands in a safe direction when installing actuators for service.

Shake can well (one minute after agitator ball is loose).

While pointing existing actuator in a safe direction grasp and remove straight away from the aerosol valve.

Choose the desired extension wand and install while pointing in a safe direction (away from personnel) by depressing the actuator button onto the valve stem.

Inset the wand into the desired area and depress the actuator button withdrawing the wand slowly allowing the 3M Cavity Wax Plus to adequately cover the area. Repeat one to two more times to ensure proper coverage (avoid electrical components, exhaust systems, and moving parts).

Invert aerosol can and spray until liquid has cleared the wand and nozzle, wipe off excess and return to the storage package as desired.

Wipe off excess from body and/or nozzle with a mild VOC compliant solvent.

Cubitron II belts continue to raise the bar for grinding performance and productivity thanks to a breakthrough 3M technology that re-writes the rules for speed, consistency and belt life.

The secret behind the revolutionary performance of new Cubitron II belts lies in their proprietary triangular-shaped abrasive grain. These self-sharpening triangles are designed to fracture as they wear, continuously forming new, super-sharp points and edges that slice cleanly through the metal like a knife, instead of gouging or ploughing. This prevents heat from building up in the workpiece reducing heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. And, because the abrasive itself stays cooler and sharper, it lasts up to four times as long as conventional ceramic grain belts!

Conventional ceramic abrasive grain is irregular and blocky in shape. Instead of a clean, machining action, the grain tends to plough through the metal, causing heat to build up in the workpiece and the abrasive resulting in a slower cut, shorter belt life and undesirable effects, such as burnishing.

he new precision-shaped grain found in 3M Cubitron II Belts combines the advanced material properties of our original Cubitron grain with the precise micro-replicated structures pioneered in 3M Trizact Abrasives. As the triangular shaped grain wears, it continuously fractures to form sharp points and edges. The result is a belt that cuts faster, stays cooler and lasts up to 4 times longer than the next best competitive belt.

3M Cubitron II Belts are engineered to run cooler, eliminating metal discoloration/oxidation and reducing the chance of heat-related stress cracks.

This photo shows four identical 304 stainless steel bars after nine grinding cycles of ten seconds each. While the three bars that were ground using conventional ceramic abrasive belts show varying degrees of oxidation, the bar ground with a Cubitron II belt is free of burnishing.
